counseling/mentoring programs
Our counseling/mentoring program has been one of the core services that GFDC provides families. It is only by dealing with the issues within each family that the detrimental effects of illiteracy, abuse (whether substance or violent) and poverty will be broken. Family members need to identify problematic behaviors and learn new behaviors that will bring a positive influence into the family.
Internships are currently available for MSW-level students. Stipends or mileage reimbursement is available.
